COMMUNITY SERVICES & GRANTS DIVISION
The Community Services and Grants Division provides support services in "quality of life" issues faced by Public Housing Residents in both family and hi-rise developments. It partners with various social service agencies to bring social, educational and career training programs at little or no cost to residents by the acquisition and utilization of various Grants provided by HUD as well as funding from state, local, and private entities. The Community Services and Grants Division is located at 1910 Truman Road, Springfield, Illinois 62703 and consists of:

Security Manager -

  • Security force consists of : Security Manager, 3 Sergeants, and 5 Officers.
  • Security provides 24 hour, 7 day a week coverage of sites owned and managed by the Springfield Housing Authority.
  • Residents are encouraged to notify security any time they have a security concern.
  • Officers receive training with the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board Mobile Training Unit #10 as well as in house training.
  • Duties include:  Patrolling all properties owned and managed by the Housing Authority, with primary emphasis on the four (4) hi-rises, enforcing the Authorities rules and regulations, state and local laws, and working closely with local law enforcement.
